We love our volunteers! Young and old, from all over the world, they’ve been coming to help rebuild our community beginning only months after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita – and they keep coming back! Volunteers have worked to restore homes and churches, beautify streets, parks and playgrounds, and work closely with new and returning Lower 9 residents on countless projects from River to Bayou.
Whether you can help for a day, three days or more, CSED has no shortage of volunteer opportunities. We can accept skilled and unskilled volunteers, providing tools and training to make it a fun, safe experience for all ages.
The sign-up process is easy. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Rollin Black, for more information.
